Beige Ceramic Salt and Pepper Shakers with Lecha Dodi Text and Pomegranates

This modest ceramic Salt and Pepper Shaker set appears in blue, grey and beige and is decorated with Hebrew text in gold and black in the center around a red pomegranate. The Hebrew text features the opening verse of the Lecha Dodi poem that is sung on Friday nights during Shabbat Evening services in black and gold. The Hebrew text reads “Lecha Dodi Likrat Kallah Piney Shabbat Nekabelah” and means “Let us go my love to greet the bride and let us welcome Shabbat”. The pomegranate is one of the Seven Species and the Lecha Dodi poem was composed by Rabbi Shlomo Alkabetz, one of the famous Kabbalists from the city of Safed in northern Israel.
